Working Days Calculator

Count weekdays (Monday–Friday) between two dates. Optionally exclude public holidays for UK regions and other English-speaking countries — the same calendars as the Business Days calculator. Everything runs locally in your browser — your inputs are not uploaded to produce the result.

Saturdays and Sundays are not counted as working days. Only if you turn on “Exclude public holidays”. Choose a region to apply that area’s bank/public holiday calendar. Business Days starts with holidays on by default.

They share the same tools. Working Days defaults to weekdays only; Business Days defaults to excluding public holidays as well. You can toggle holidays on either page. Tweak the inputs above to compare options, then copy or note the result you need.

Weekdays here are Monday to Friday. That matches many professional services contracts and school-term thinking, but not hospitality, healthcare, or sites that work Saturday. If your contract says “working days”, read whether bank holidays are excluded — that is a separate toggle.

England & Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland do not share every holiday. Pick the region that matches the workplace or the governing law of the contract. For a default that already excludes holidays, open Business Days instead.
