VAT (Value Added Tax) is added to many goods and services. This calculator lets you add VAT to a net price or remove it from a gross price using the standard rate for your selected country. Everything runs locally in your browser — your inputs are not uploaded to produce the result.
The standard UK VAT rate is 20%. Some goods and services use reduced rates (5%) or are zero-rated — this tool defaults to the standard rate. Divide the gross price by (1 + VAT rate). For 20% VAT, divide by 1.2. The calculator does this automatically when you choose remove VAT.
