Random Team Generator
Fairly divide a list of names into random teams.
Names (one per line)
Add names, choose team count, then split.
In-depth explanation
Paste a list of names and split them into fairly sized random teams — great for sports, classrooms, and workshops. Everything runs locally in your browser — your inputs are not uploaded to produce the result.
Names are shuffled, then dealt round-robin so team sizes differ by at most one person. One name per line in the text box.
Click Split into teams again for a new random arrangement. Tweak the inputs above to compare options, then copy or note the result you need.
Round-robin dealing after a shuffle keeps team sizes within one person. That is fairer than filling team A first. One name per line; extra spaces become their own names if you are sloppy.
Shuffle again if the first draw looks awkward (all the strongest players together). It will not balance skill — only count. Paste a fresh list for a new event.
