In-depth explanation
Estimate income tax and take-home pay using simplified UK (England, Wales & NI) 2026/27 bands or US 2026 federal brackets. Real deductions vary with NI/Social Security, pensions, student loans, and other factors — use this as a planning estimate only. Everything runs locally in your browser — your inputs are not uploaded to produce the result.
UK estimates include a simplified NI-style deduction where modelled. Exact contributions depend on your employment type and thresholds. Payslips can include pensions, student loans, benefits, and different tax codes. This tool uses simplified standard assumptions.
It is an educational estimate. Check HMRC, IRS, or a qualified adviser for personal tax matters. Use Income Tax Calculator for quick planning; confirm important money, tax, or health decisions with an official source or professional when needed.
