Annual dividends divided by the share price (or portfolio value), as a percentage. A £10,000 holding paying £500/year has a 5% yield. It runs a year-by-year plan using share price, shares, yield, annual contributions, optional dividend reinvestment (DRIP), stock appreciation, and dividend growth — then shows total dividends and average monthly income by year.
Dividends paid divided by net income. A lower ratio often means more earnings are reinvested for growth; a very high ratio can be harder to sustain. Often yes outside tax wrappers. UK dividend allowance and US qualified-dividend rules are not applied in this tool. Use Dividend Calculator for quick planning; confirm important money, tax, or health decisions with an official source or professional when needed.
